KENYA: Slain Missionarys Car Recovered
NAIROBI March 13, 2007 (CISA) -The car driven by Fr. Martin Addai, of the Society of African Missionaries (M. Afr) when he was killed by robbers in Nairobi has been recovered by police near St James Hospital, not very far from his community house.
According to eye witnesses, Fr Addai was carjacked near his community house, shot and his body thrown by the roadside on the afternoon of Saturday, March, 10, 2007.
The priest who was Rector of the Missionaries of Africa Formation House for Theology in Nairobis South B was also a lecturer in Medical Ethics, at Tangaza College, a constituent college of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
Born on November 12, 1960 in Kumasi Ghana, Fr Addai took his Perpetual Oath as a Missionary of Africa, in Totteridge, London in 1989. He was ordained priest in 1990.
He served as curate in Soalpo Parish, Diocese of Chimoio, in Mozambique before becoming its Parish Priest in 1993.
Between 1994 and 1997 he went for further studies in Canada and Rome and on his return, became lecturer at Maputo Major Seminary in Mozambique and later at the House of Philosophy at Ejisu, Ghana where he became Rector.
In 2004, he was elected a member of the General Chapter, after which he left for Nairobi to take up his new appointment as Rector of the societys Formation House.
KENYA: Missionary Priest Shot Dead by Thugs
KENYA March 12, 2007 (CISA) -A priest of the Society of the Missionaries of Africa (M. Afr) also known as the White Fathers has been shot dead in Nairobi.
Fr. Martin Addai, was killed after his car was hijacked on the road leading from the societys formation house to Mombasa Road last Saturday, March, 10, 2007, in South B area.
Born in Ghana on November 12, 1960, Fr. Addai was the Rector of the Missionaries of Africa Formation House for Theology located in South B.
He was also a lecturer in Medical Ethics, at Tangaza College, a constituent college of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
In a short communiqué sent to CISA by Brother Anthony Baaladong, Superior for the Sector of Kenya, a post mortem will be performed on Tuesday March 12, 2007.
Police will also issue a comprehensive report on investigations. More details will be announced later.

Martin was here preaching a retreat at our place on the request of the Philothea Missionaries (see the photo below)! He was so generous and kind to us May the Lord grant His soul eternal rest.
