Biju John
Biju
est né le 18 mai 1981 à Kottapaddy, en Inde, dans une famille
chrétienne. Ses parents sont toujours vivants. La famille compte six
enfants : quatre filles, dont deux sont religieuses, et deux garçons,
dont un, prêtre chez les Carmélites. Après son école
primaire, Biju obtient le certificat SSLC (dixième année standard)
et le Certificat PDC (douzième année standard). Il s'engage
ensuite pour un cours de trois ans en ingénierie mécanique qu'il
complète avec diplôme en 1991. Il peut ainsi travailler comme
superviseur au maintien des équipements dans une usine de textile,
de 1993 à 1994. Désirant devenir prêtre et missionnaire,
Biju vient à notre première étape pour l'introduction
'Viens et vois'. Il reste chez nous pour sa philosophie. En 2000, il fait
le noviciat à Kahangala. Il est ensuite nommé pour son stage
à la paroisse de Kabanga en Tanzanie. En septembre 2003, il se rend
terminer ses études au St-Edward's College. Il y passe trois ans, espérant
être ordonné prêtre en 2006.
Deusdedit Mjankwi
(nous
l'appelons Deus) est né le 31 octobre 1973 à Sinyanga, en Tanzanie.
Il fait partie d'une famille catholique pratiquante. Il est le troisième
d'une famille de huit enfants. Son père enseigne la menuiserie et sa
mère tient un petit commerce. Après son éducation primaire,
Deus se rend au petit séminaire de Nyegezi, ensuite, dans une école
secondaire gouvernementale de la même ville où il complète
ses études avec le certificat secondaire. En 1996, Deus est au centre
de vocation de Mindu près de Dar es Salaam. En 1997, il est admis à
notre première étape d'Arusha pour se rendre au noviciat de
Bobo Dioulasso, trois ans plus tard. Après une année de stage
à Korhogo, en Côte d'Ivoire, la guerre l'oblige à aller
poursuivre à Bobo. C'est en 2003 qu'il arrive au St-Edward's College.
Il perd sa mère et son jeune frère en 2005. Il terminera ses
études en juin 2007.
Simon Ouédraogo
voit
le jour le 30 octobre 1974 à Boken, dans le diocèse de Kaya,
au Burkina Faso. Ses parents, Alphonse Ouédraogo et Noëlie Kientarbum
sont des paysans. Simon est l'aîné d'une famille de neuf enfants
dont un est décédé. Après son école secondaire,
il étudie au petit séminaire de Pabré et au Lycée
Zinda de Ouagadougou. C'est ensuite l'Université pour des études
en sciences économiques. C'est pendant ces années qu'il discerne
sa vocation missionnaire. En 1997, il est à la première étape
de Ouagadougou puis au noviciat de Kahangala, trois ans plus tard. De 2001
à 2003, il fait son stage en R.D.Congo à la paroisse de Kipaka,
au diocèse de Kasongo. Il est ensuite au St-Edward's College pour les
quatre dernières années d'études. Il espère terminer
sa formation en juin 2007.
Sylvain Yaméogo
naît
le 12 novembre 1976 à Koudougou, au Burkina Faso. Il est le troisième
de quatre enfants. Son père, Michel Kabore, est professeur et sa mère,
Anne-Marie Kabore, tient un petit commerce. Sylvain fait son éducation
primaire et secondaire à Koudougou. Attiré par le style de vie
et l'apostolat des Missionnaires d'Afrique, il entre à la première
étape à Ouagadougou, en 1997. Trois ans plus tard, c'est le
noviciat à Samagan, à Bobo-Dioulasso. Il fait son stage en Ouganda
à la paroisse Matia Mulumba, à Kampala, pour ensuite le terminer
au centre de jeunesse Sharing. Il est au St-Edward's College en 2003 où
il espère terminer ses études en juin 2007.

Biju John
Biju
was born on May the 18th 1971 at Kottapaddy, Kerala, India into a catholic
family. His parents are still alive; they are 6 children: 4 sisters of which
two are religious sisters, and 2 boys (his brother, the last born, is a priest
in the Carmelite Order). After his primary education, Biju obtained the SSLC
Certificate (10th Standard) in 1986 and two years later the PDC Certificate
(12th Standard). He then enrolled for a three years course in mechanical engineering,
completing it in 1991 with a Diploma. Then he worked as a maintenance supervisor
in a textile factory (1993-94). Wishing to become priest and missionary, Biju
came to our first cycle where he did first the Come-and-See year and then
did three years of Philosophy, finishing in 1999. In 2000 he joined the Noviciate
in Kahangla and thereafter got appointed for his stage to Tanzania (Kabanga
Parish: 2001-03). In Sept 2003 Biju joined St Edward's in London. Biju does
the three years' programme and hopes to get ordained priest in 2006.
Deusdedit Mjankwi
(we
call him Deus) was born on the 31st October 1973 in Shinyanga, Tanzania .
He grew up in a practicing Catholic family of 8 children; he being the third.
His father taught carpentry and his mother ran a small business. After primary
education Deus went to the minor seminary in Nyegezi (1990-93), then to the
Government Secondary School in the same town and finishes his studies with
a Certificate of Secondary Education. 1996-97 Deus is at the vocation centre
in Mindu, nr. Dar es Salaam. 1997 he is admitted to our first cycle in Arusha.
2000 he goes to the noviciate in Bobo Dioulasso. This is followed by two years
of stage, one year in the Ivory Coast (Korhogo), then because of the civil
war he did his second year in Bobo. In 2003 Deus arrives at St. Edward's.
In Jan 2005 he lost his mother and in Dec 2005 his younger brother. He will
finish his studies in June 2007.
Simon Ouédraogo
was
born on October the 30th 1974 in Boken, in the parish of Tema-Boken, Kaya
diocese. He is the son of Alphonse Ouédraogo and Noëlie Kientarbum,
a farmer's family. He is the oldest of 9 children, of which 2 have died. After
his secondary school studies at the Minor-Seminary in Pabré and Lycée
Zinda in Ouagadougou, Simon enters the university and studies economic sciences.
During this time he discerns his missionary vocation. 1997 he enters our first
cycle in Ouagadougou. In 2000 Simon goes to the Noviciate in Kahangala and
is appointed afterwards for his stage to the D.R. Congo; in Kipaka Parish,
diocese of Kasongo (2001-2003). Sept 2003 Simon comes to London, to St. Edward's
and enrolled for the 4 years' programme. He hopes to finish his formation
in June 2007.
Sylvain Yaméogo
was
born on Nov 12th 1976 in Koudougou, Burkina Faso. His parents are Michel and
Anne-Marie Kabore. He is the third of four children. His father is a teacher;
and his mother runs a small business. Sylvain does his primary and secondary
education in Koudougou. As Sylvain felt attracted by the life and apostolate
of the M.Afr., he enters 1997 the first cycle in Ouagadougou. In Sept 2000
he does the noviciate in Samagan, Bobo Dioulasso. For his stage he is appointed
to Uganda. Sylvain spent some months in Matia Mulumba Parish (Old Kampala)
and then he moved to SHARING Youth Centre in Kampala. In Sept 2003 Sylvain
arrived at St. Edward's in Totteridge and hopes to finish his training in
June 2007.
