Renewal of Declaration of Intent

In the presence of all of you people of God assembled here, and of you Bishop Jan De Groef,

I, Lamec Remacle CIZA, declare my intent:

Having deepened my knowledge of and relation with the person of Jesus-Christ,
Having acquired a better knowledge of myself through inter-cultural community life, the
practice of the evangelical councils and pastoral work, `

Having acquired a better and more realistic knowledge of the Society of the Missionaries
of Africa and its Charism, and confirming my adherence to the Society’s Constitutions
and Laws,

I, hereby, in all freedom of my mind and my heart, in agreement with my deep
conscience and with my Spiritual Companion, reaffirm my desire to commit myself to
following Jesus as a missionary, within the Society of the Missionaries of Africa, in the
spirit of Cardinal Charles Martial Allemand Lavigerie.

I, therefore, entrust my whole self into the hands of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen
of Africa, appealing for the grace of faithfulness to her Son, and to the prayers of all of
you here present, pleading for the grace to let myself be truly guided by Him all along
my journey to His service in Africa, all for His Greater Glory.
