Bien chers frères et amis,
Nous venons vous partager une grande nouvelle ! Notre Fraternité se prépare à vivre de beaux moments et elle désire vous y associer tous !
Vendredi le 24 novembre prochain, Son excellence Monseigneur Jean-Pierre Kutwa archevêque d'Abidjan, procédera à la bénédiction de notre nouvelle maison située à Abobo, une commune du grand Abidjan. Cette cérémonie débutera à 16h30. Elle aura lieu en présence de notre Supérieur Général, le Père Gérard Chabanon.
Comme ce projet d'une Fraternité à Abidjan a été porté par beaucoup d'entre vous, nous sommes heureux de vous inviter à participer ou encore à vous unir à cette cérémonie en cet après-midi de reconnaissance et d'action de grâce.
Samedi matin le 25 novembre, nous vous convions de nouveau à venir vous joindre à nous en l'église paroissiale Ste Elisabeth du diocèse de Youpougon, à 8h30, pour une grande célébration. Ce jour-là, notre Fraternité aura la joie d'être témoin des premiers serments et des premières ordinations au diaconat de sa brève histoire. Soit dit en passant, c'est cette paroisse Ste Élisabeth qui nous a accueillis durant nos deux premières années de présence à Abidjan.
Le Père Gérard Chabanon recevra le serment missionnaire de quatre d'entre nous :
Jean-Noël Baraka de la République Démocratique du Congo
Patrice Belem du Burkina Faso
Félix Drani de l'Uganda
Jean-Bosco Ntihebuwayo du BurundiPuis, dans un deuxième temps, Monseigneur Pierre-Marie Coty, évêque émérite du diocèse de Daloa, conférera l'ordre du diaconat à nos jeunes confrères.
Comptant sur votre présence pour ceux qui pourront être des nôtres en ces jours mémorables, nous vous serons reconnaissants de nous faire signe à l'avance. Aube et étole blanche pour la circonstance.
Ensemble, étudiants et aînés, nous désirons d'une manière ou d'une autre vous associer à notre grande joie car c'est la joie de toute notre famille missionnaire.

Dear Confreres, Friends,
We have great news to share with you! Our Fraternity is looking forward to exciting times ahead and hopes you will join with all of us in them!
Since the Abidjan Fraternity project was supported by many of you, we are pleased to invite you to take part or even join us at this afternoon ceremony of gratitude and thanksgiving.
On Saturday morning the 25 November, we call upon you once again to join us in the parish church of St Elisabeth in Youpougon Diocese at 8.30 for a major celebration. On that day, the members of our Fraternity will be pleased to witness the first Ceremony of taking the Oath and the first Diaconate Ordinations of its short history. In passing, we acknowledge St Elisabeth's parish as the one that welcomed us for the first two years of our presence in Abidjan.
Father Gérard Chabanon will receive the Missionary Oath of four among us:
Jean-Noël Baraka from the Democratic Republic of Congo
Patrice Belem from Burkina Faso
Félix Drani from Uganda
Jean-Bosco Ntihebuwayo from BurundiThen, in a second stage, His Lordship Pierre-Marie Coty, Bishop Emeritus of Daloa Diocese will confer the Order of Diaconate on our young confreres.
Looking forward to seeing those of you able to join us on those memorable days, we would be grateful if you could give us advance notice of your coming. The celebrants will vest in alb and white stole.
All of us, both staff and students, wish to associate you in one way or another with our particular joy, as it is the joy of our entire Missionary Family.
