For the first time in history a joint Stagiaires' Meeting was
organized by the Southern African Province and Zambia. This meeting gathered
13 "stagiaires" from Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and Zambia.
It was animated by Fr. Gotthard Rosner, the Provincial of Zambia and Fr. Henry
Byamukama, the stagiaires' coordinator in Zambia.
We began with an afternoon's recollection on the theme : "What
does it mean to be a missionary today ?" After a short talk by Fr. Gotthard
and a good time of prayer we shared our own ideas on the topic.
We consecrated the 2nd and 3rd day on our "Rivers of Life". We drew
our life story in form of a river (with rocks, cataracts or sand) and shared
this story with the others.

On Wednesday we began to speak of our experiences in the different
missions. Each one shared on the following topics : our pastoral commitments,
community life and our relationship with God (spiritual life).
Thursday was free, and we went alltogether for a picnic to "Adventure
City". We played Volleyball, rushed down long slides to land in a swimming
pool and grilled steaks and sausages for our lunch. It was great fun.
The next day we continued our sharing and took time to discuss
some Chapter issues (a Mega-Province SAP/zambia; formation in our Society).
Finally we concluded the meeting with an evaluation and a visit to Good Shepherd
Parish, Kabwata.
Our visitors were taken aroundto see Lusaka before they returned
to their respective countries.
